I rarely do Still Lives (lifes ?) but I loved doing this one and will do more.
I seem to go in spurts of blogging (wish I could be more consistent).  I always
vow to do better so stay tuned!

Add another one to my Abstract Landscape Series.  This one is
totally abstract with no realism but it gives so many suggestions
of what it could be.  Honestly, the whole painting is lighter, but
my skills as a photograher is still questionable!

I just finished a workshop at the Galveston Art League and will
do another one in July or August.  It was really fun and great  people.
I'm also judging their Spring Show and the reception is May 3.
Another one day workshop lined up in Brenham at the Brenham Art League
on August 21st (and....only 50.) teaching how to paint Abstract Landscapes.

My commissions are on a 4-6 week schedule. You might be inspired by a painting that has already sold or you may have a particular subject matter that interests you.

After deciding on the size, subject matter, framing, and other details, you will receive a price quote for the commission.

A 30% deposit is required. Nearing completion, a digital image is sent for your review. After approval and final payment, the painting will be shipped. 

Commissioned paintings are created as one of-a-kind. Even when choosing a previously sold painting, this will only be a reference for color schemes and subject matter. Each painting is always unique.

Someone suggested I do some paintings on paper and so I have.
They are fun, but I find I spend just about the same amount of time
on these as I do on canvas paintings.  It's good practice, tho'.
